The clients wanted the chalet to be sophisticated, funky and glamorous with soft chalet style details. They wanted to incorporate traditional check fabrics, furs and cow hides but mix them up in a contemporary way.
We used beautiful premium cashmere, brown leathers, cow hides, sheepskins, mongolian and faux fur throws. The chalet is part of a new development and had freshly painted white walls. Keeping this in mind, we used allot of rich texture throughout the chalet to bring a warmer feel to each room.
The pallet is neutral with a mix of creams and greys, brown leathers and a hint of inky blues. We used a variation of this pallet for each room.
We bought these beautiful jugs from Neptune on our first shopping trip together in London. We loved the inky blue colour mixed with the natural stone so this became the inspiration for our colour pallet.
They look great displayed on the reclaimed wooden dining table, which is my favourite piece in the chalet. It has so much rich texture which adds a beautiful contrast to the clean contemporary style kitchen.
